The Journal of Smart Agriculture and Environmental Technology (JOSAET) is committed to promoting transparency, research integrity, and reproducibility in scientific publishing. JOSAET encourages authors to make the data supporting their research findings available whenever possible, while respecting ethical, legal, and confidentiality requirements.

1. Data Availability Statement
Authors are required to include a Data Availability Statement in all submitted manuscripts. This statement should describe where the data supporting the findings of the study can be accessed or explain why the data cannot be publicly shared.

2. Sharing Research Data
Authors are encouraged to deposit research data in recognized institutional, disciplinary, or public repositories before or upon publication. Where possible, datasets should be assigned a persistent identifier such as a DOI.

Research data may include, but are not limited to:

• Raw and processed experimental data;
• Laboratory measurements;
• Field observations;
• Survey data;
• Statistical datasets;
• Computer code or software scripts;
• Images, maps, GIS data, and remote sensing datasets;
• Supplementary materials supporting the published findings.</p>

3. When Data Cannot Be Shared
JOSAET recognizes that some research data cannot be made publicly available due to:

• ethical considerations involving human participants;
• privacy or confidentiality restrictions;
• legal or contractual obligations;
• intellectual property rights;
• national security or environmental protection concerns.

In such cases, authors should clearly explain the reason in the Data Availability Statement.

4. Author Responsibility
Authors remain fully responsible for the accuracy, completeness, and integrity of the data supporting their research. Where requested during peer review or after publication, authors may be asked to provide the original data for editorial assessment or verification.

Failure to provide supporting data without reasonable justification may affect the editorial decision.

5. Recommended Statements

Authors may use one of the following statements, as appropriate:

Data openly available

The datasets generated and/or analyzed during this study are publicly available in [Repository Name] at [DOI or URL].

Data available upon request

The data supporting the findings of this study are available from the corresponding author upon reasonable request.

Data not publicly available

The data are not publicly available due to ethical, legal, or confidentiality restrictions but may be available from the corresponding author upon reasonable request, subject to institutional approval.

No new data generated

No new datasets were generated or analyzed during the current study.

6. Editorial Assessmen
The Editorial Office reserves the right to request clarification regarding data availability during the review or publication process. Editors and reviewers may request access to supporting data when necessary to verify the validity of the research findings.

7. Policy Review
JOSAET will periodically review and update this policy to reflect international best practices in research transparency, open science, and scholarly publishing.
