Withdrawal Policy

Journal of Smart Agriculture and Environmental Technology (JOSAET)

The Journal of Smart Agriculture and Environmental Technology (JOSAET) is committed to maintaining the integrity, transparency, and efficiency of the scholarly publication process. Authors are expected to submit manuscripts with the intention of completing the publication process. Requests to withdraw a manuscript should therefore be made only for valid and justifiable reasons.

1. Withdrawal Before Peer Review
Authors may request to withdraw their manuscript before the peer-review process begins by submitting a written request to the Editorial Office. The request must clearly state the reason for withdrawal.

If the manuscript has not yet entered peer review, the withdrawal request will normally be approved.

2. Withdrawal During Peer Review
Once a manuscript has entered the peer-review process, withdrawal requests will be considered only under exceptional circumstances, such as:

  • Discovery of significant errors in the research;
  • Ethical concerns identified by the authors;
  • Authorship disputes;
  • Duplicate or accidental submission.

Authors must submit a formal written explanation. The Editor-in-Chief will evaluate the request before making a final decision.

3. Withdrawal After Acceptance
Withdrawal of a manuscript after acceptance is strongly discouraged because substantial editorial and peer-review resources have already been invested.

Requests for withdrawal after acceptance will only be considered in exceptional cases and require written approval from the Editor-in-Chief.

4. Withdrawal After Publication
Once an article has been published, it cannot be withdrawn.

If serious errors or ethical concerns are identified after publication, the journal will follow its Correction Policy, Expression of Concern, or Retraction Policy, as appropriate.

5.Editorial Withdrawal

JOSAET reserves the right to withdraw a manuscript before publication if:

  • plagiarism or duplicate submission is detected;
  • fabricated or falsified data are identified;
  • serious ethical violations are discovered;
  • authors fail to respond to editorial communications within a reasonable period;
  • other circumstances arise that compromise the integrity of the publication process.

6. Author Responsibilities
Authors are expected to:

  • ensure that the manuscript is original;
  • avoid simultaneous submission to multiple journals;
  • obtain the consent of all co-authors before submission;
  • notify the Editorial Office immediately if significant errors are identified.

Unethical withdrawal practices or duplicate submissions may result in rejection of the manuscript and temporary restrictions on future submissions to JOSAET.

7. Policy Review
JOSAET periodically reviews this policy to ensure consistency with international publication ethics and best editorial practices.
