Repository and Self-Archiving Policy

JOSAET (Journal of Smart Agriculture and Environmental Technology) supports the long-term accessibility, dissemination, and preservation of scholarly research. Authors retain the copyright of their published work and are encouraged to make their research widely accessible through institutional and subject-based repositories.

Author Self-Archiving Rights

Authors are permitted to deposit the following versions of their manuscripts in institutional, subject-based, national, or other recognized repositories:

  1. The submitted manuscript (preprint);
  2. The accepted manuscript after peer review and revision; and
  3. The published version of record.

JOSAET does not impose an embargo period on author self-archiving. Authors may deposit their manuscript immediately upon acceptance or publication, as applicable.

Conditions for Self-Archiving

When depositing a manuscript in a repository, authors are requested to:

  • provide the full bibliographic citation of the published article;
  • include the article DOI and a link to the official JOSAET article webpage whenever available;
  • clearly identify the deposited version of the manuscript; and
  • retain the original copyright and licensing information associated with the published article.

The published version of record should preferably be linked to the official JOSAET website to ensure that readers have access to the definitive version of the article.

Licensing

Articles published by JOSAET are distributed under the Creative Commons Attribution-ShareAlike 4.0 International (CC BY-SA 4.0) License, unless otherwise stated. Authors may therefore share and deposit their published articles in accordance with the terms of this license.

Repository and Institutional Sharing

Authors may deposit their articles in:

  • institutional repositories;
  • subject-specific repositories;
  • national repositories;
  • university digital libraries; and
  • other legitimate scholarly repositories.

Authors are also encouraged to include their published articles in institutional research profiles and other academic platforms that support responsible scholarly dissemination.

Preservation of the Scholarly Record

JOSAET is committed to maintaining permanent access to its published articles. The journal preserves the published version of record and its associated bibliographic metadata through appropriate digital preservation and archiving mechanisms.

In the event of a change in the journal's publishing platform or website, JOSAET will make reasonable efforts to maintain continued access to previously published articles and their persistent identifiers.

Purpose of the Policy

This policy is intended to facilitate responsible scholarly communication, increase the visibility and accessibility of research published in JOSAET, and support authors in preserving and disseminating their scholarly work while maintaining the integrity of the published version of record.
