Digital Archiving and Preservation Policy

Digital Archiving and Preservation Policy

JOSAET (Journal of Smart Agriculture and Environmental Technology) is committed to the long-term preservation, accessibility, and integrity of all scholarly content published by the journal. The journal recognizes that digital preservation is essential to maintaining permanent access to the scholarly record and ensuring that published articles remain available to readers and researchers over time.

Digital Preservation

JOSAET maintains digital copies of all published articles, including their associated bibliographic metadata, in its electronic journal platform. The published version of record is preserved as part of the journal's permanent scholarly archive.

The journal takes reasonable measures to protect published content against accidental loss, unauthorized alteration, or disruption of access. Published articles are retained after the completion of each issue and are not routinely removed from the journal's online archive.

Long-Term Accessibility

JOSAET is committed to maintaining continuous online access to its published articles and their persistent bibliographic information. Each published article is assigned a Digital Object Identifier (DOI), which provides a persistent link to the article and supports its long-term discoverability and citation.

In the event of changes to the journal's website, publishing platform, or technical infrastructure, JOSAET will make reasonable efforts to preserve previously published content and maintain the accessibility of the scholarly record, including DOI-based links and article metadata.

Preservation of Published Versions

The final published version of each article, together with its bibliographic metadata, constitutes the official version of record. Any corrections, updates, or post-publication changes are managed in accordance with the journal's publication ethics and correction/retraction policies to ensure the integrity and transparency of the scholarly record.

JOSAET does not intentionally remove published articles from its online archive except in exceptional circumstances, such as a formal retraction or other cases requiring removal in accordance with recognized publication ethics standards. In such cases, the journal will maintain an appropriate editorial record and clearly indicate the status of the affected article.

Backup and Continuity

JOSAET undertakes appropriate measures to maintain backup copies of journal content and to reduce the risk of permanent data loss caused by technical failure, accidental deletion, or other unforeseen circumstances.

The journal will periodically review its digital preservation practices and, where appropriate, adopt additional preservation mechanisms or services to strengthen the long-term preservation and accessibility of its published content.

Commitment to the Scholarly Record

JOSAET considers the preservation of published research to be a permanent responsibility of the journal. The journal is committed to maintaining the integrity, authenticity, and accessibility of its published scholarly record for authors, readers, researchers, and the wider academic community.
